I2PL (INTENSE PULSED LIGHT)

The Newest Generation of IPL with Fractional Handpiece

I2PL is the latest generation of IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) technology, utilizing fractional technology to protect the skin from the risk of burns. I2PL is also 100% gel-free, allowing 100% of the energy to be delivered to the skin without any energy loss, while remaining safe for the epidermis.

I2PL is an innovative machine that has a wavelength range of 400nm-950nm with contact cooling, so it is less painful, less erythema, and safer, but has high efficacy.

INDICATIONS

  • Active Acne
  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Telangiectasia, Vascular problems
  • Melasma, Shallow hair removal
  • Deep hair removal
  • Pubic area hair removal
  • Yellotoning
  • Green toning (soft hyperpigmentation, redness)

WHY SHOULD L2PL

  1. LESS PAIN, so you can feel more comfortable.
  2. THERE IS CONTACT COLLING, on the I2PL probe that reaches -5°C so it feels cool and more comfortable when used.
  3. SAFETY, If you forget to install a filter, the machine won't fire. With a regular IPL, if you forget to install a filter, the machine will still fire, which can cause burns.
The lamp life is very long.
  4. EFFECTIVE, Regular IPL relies on heat to treat acne, but I2PL uses a filter that approaches UV to kill p. acnes bacteria.

Frequently Asked Questions

I²PL stands for Intense Pulsed Light, second generation. It is an advanced skin treatment that uses broad-spectrum light energy to target various skin concerns including pigmentation, redness, acne, and signs of aging. Unlike lasers that use a single wavelength, I²PL delivers multiple wavelengths for a more versatile and effective treatment.

I²PL emits intense pulses of light that penetrate the skin and are absorbed by pigmented or vascular lesions, sebaceous glands, or collagen layers, depending on the treatment goal. This light energy: - Destroys excess melanin (for pigmentation) - Closes small blood vessels (for redness/rosacea) - Stimulates collagen (for anti-aging) - Reduces oil production (for acne)

- Sunspots, age spots, and freckles - Melasma or hyperpigmentation - Facial redness and broken capillaries - Rosacea - Acne and acne marks - Uneven skin tone - Fine lines and enlarged pores - Dull or tired-looking skin

I²PL is an upgraded version of traditional IPL, offering: More precise energy delivery Reduced risk of burns Improved safety and comfort Better results with fewer sessions It’s sometimes referred to as “2nd generation IPL”.

I²PL is generally safe for light to medium skin tones (Fitzpatrick I–IV). Darker skin tones (V–VI) may require special settings or alternative treatments due to higher melanin sensitivity. A consultation is necessary to determine suitability.

Most people describe the sensation as a warm snap or flick, similar to a rubber band. Cooling gel or a built-in cooling system is used to minimize discomfort.

A typical session takes 20 to 40 minutes, depending on the area being treated.

Most patients see optimal results with 3–6 sessions, spaced 3–4 weeks apart. Maintenance treatments may be recommended every 6–12 months.

- Mild improvement can be seen after the first session - Visible results (clearer, more even-toned skin) typically appear after 2–4 weeks, improving with each session - Pigmented spots may darken initially before flaking off naturally

I²PL has minimal to no downtime. You may experience: - Mild redness or warmth for a few hours - Slight darkening of pigmented areas before fading You can return to normal activities right away, but sun protection is crucial post-treatment.
